The Challange
Our farmers are struggling with never before seen pressure and challenges from all ends of the spectrum – whether economically, environmentally or dealing with a global landscape that is forcing them to sell off land and leave their valuable skillset and capabilities behind.
All these challenges coming at once (over the last few years) is causing our farmers (real people) to suffer through mental health challenges, stress and the inability to cope with the day to day tasks that allow them to produce and earn a living.
Many farmers are currently finding it hard to operate and deal with the realities of their life, their business and it’s ability to provide for them and their family and in some cases left with no option but to walk or way or in more severe cases commit suicide due to the very real burdens that they are experiencing.
The list of challenges that farmers are experiencing from our own data and on the ground work
-Mental health challenges and lack of general wellbeing
-Marketplace and economic challenges
-Government and regulation-based issues
-Lack of general development in rural or regional areas
-Technical ability and more technological world
-Cost of production and lack of income generation
-Climate and environmental challenges
-Lack of purpose and meaning in work (in modern world)
-Providing for family and providing the right opportunities of their family (children).
-Lack of Inspiration and motivation in farming industry
-Lack of motivation as things
-Inability to make effective decisions and define
-life systems missing and
-Quality of life and perceived QOL in modern world
-Relationship challenges – whether romantic or friendship or community
-Lack of financial independence as most money is tied up in assets or grants that restrict how money is used in their lives a people.
-Lack of education options and general life support to stay on track.
-Pressure of buyouts and losing their assets and known livlihood
-Skills building and development of themselves as they are usually focused on the farm and it’s needs above their own.
-Lack of growth in rural and regional areas
The main objective for stage one of our roll out
Protect our farmers, build better life systems to help them cope with the challenges that they are facing as farmers and more importantly as people and ensure that we build our farmers up and give them the support they need to continue being the backbone of many of our nations.
We will also be using this program to inspire our next generation of farmers and help them find greater purpose and meaning
First and foremost – We all have to find ways to champion our farmers and get behind them as they deal with unprecedented challenges that are affecting their lives and de-valuing their own sense of worth and value to our nation economies.
PROJECT DETAILS / Criteria
This project is will be built out in a multi-stage format and currently we are developing the first generation (Gen 1.0) of our Building our Farmers up program – which will include accessible life tools, life support and life operating systems, community support and a framework to help our farmers identify their problems and solve them on the personal front and with their farming operations.
Our Gen 1.0 roll out will provide the backbone and frame work to eventually help farmers tackle some of the larger systemic, industrial, governmental, economic, technological challenges that they face as a group. With the goal to improve their quality of life as human beings in their every day lives (ASAP) and revolutionize the industry of farming – so that it actively supports communities, regional towns, families and the very people who work in and around the farming industry.
The objective is to solve the very real challenges that our farmers are experiencing in their lives, as human beings and as operators of important infrastructure for our nations and world.
Connection, Community and Discussion
Like any project or program we have rolled out over the years – it all starts with discussion and getting to the core of the problems our farmers are experiencing and understanding how to break those problems down into more
more understandable formats and catergories.
The first stage of the program is to build a strong community of farmers from a range of nations and start building a strong sense of mission and resolve to tackle some of the biggest problems that farmers and agriculture based workers are facing – right now.
Development of new life tools and operating systems
This will be a human focused project and once that framework is in place we can start to address the systemic challenges and larger challenges facing farmers - including governmental, economic, marketplace challenges.
The first generation of life tools and systems aim to provide a better framework for farmers to operate from and be a support system to help them at the very least manage themselves, manage their lives and take on the day in a more manageable way.
Our first generation of tools and life systems should have a positive effect on our farmers and also give them the confidence to start tackling their problems and improving their lives in a more comprehendible way.
At this early stage of the project we are considering releasing a more basic and easier to use set of tools – with a greater focus on Video and Communication support to help kick off the program and get our famers moving again in 2025.
Limited technology and more focused human tools
Our focus with this program will be to deliver tools / resources that farmers can use in their own time – away from technology and away from the stresses of their direct operation.
Technology will be vital in deploying these tools and support programs as well as using it for community group discussions – however the main objective is to provide more manual resources (for Gen 1.0) to be used in a more human way, allowing farmers time to connect with themselves and step away from it all for a brief moment each day / week.
Community Deployment and Involvement
This program is heavily reliant on Community Deployment and hand to hand deployment to get these tools and resources to our farmers. A lot can be done using internet based technology – however creating awareness and delivering these tools to farmers digitally or physically will be a community effort.
People, families, community groups, companies and government services within the farming community and agricultural industries will have to be on the front line of deploying these packets and getting these essential and potentially life saving tools to farmers.
We will also be engaging people, community groups and companies who are not directly involved with these industries to help us deploy these new resources to farmers, their families and the people who work in and around their industry.
It’s an all hands on deck job – that requires all of us to step up and get in there and solve real world problems.
Funding and ongoing support
Due to the scope and the seriousness of this program and the problem we are trying to solve we are likely to require funding partners, sponsors, expertise and many hands to help us deploy this program to our farmers.
The initial development of this program and roll out will be self funded by Joe Duncan and JDG. However for this program to reach our farmers on an unprecedent global scale and actually begin the process of transforming lives and improving conditions for our farmers – we will need many hands on the ground and strong partnerships and funding to make this
If this is a project that you, your company or community group are passionate about please apply below – We are currently in the process of building the funding framework for this project.
This is a multi-national effort, So all people, communities and organizations are able to participate, support and fund this project.
Language and technical points
The initial creation and development will be done in English with the plan to easily create the same systems and programs in multiple languages and for multiple nations and or territories.
The source code and all files will be open to all to access and potentially upgrade and modify for different situations and circumstances or when new data comes in.
